David opened Roche Injury Clinic in 2015 with the intention of creating a practice that would combine the best of traditional physical therapy procedures with the latest innovations and techniques.
David is a multidisciplinary therapist with BSc, Pg Dip’s, MSc and specialist degrees in Sports Medicine, Sports Physio, Strength & Conditioning, Sport and Exercise.
Education
David is a keen academic and constantly researches the most current and up to date methods to treat all of the patients who attend the clinic effectively with the ultimate goal of improving their quality of life.
Driven by a desire to help improve patient’s quality of life, using relevant proven protocols, alongside his busy clinic David regularly has professional athletes attend for treatment and performance sessions.
David lectures at a local college on the topics of Anatomy & Physiology and also likes to conduct research in the rehabilitation section of the clinic. He has had two pieces of work published in the past year with some of the most respected scientific journals.
Career
David has worked in professional rugby in the UK with Sale Sharks RFC gaining a vast wealth of clinical and pitch-side experience. He has worked at the 2017 Athletics World Championships in London, the 2016 All Ireland winning Kilkenny Camogie team and regularly works with the Irish Athletics Youths Elite Endurance squads at training camps around the country and abroad.
International Athletes
David regularly has top international and Olympic level athletes to Kilkenny for camps of both treatment and injury rehabilitation and also regularly works as a physio and strength & conditioning consultant to senior athletic national teams and professional sports teams throughout Europe.
